The comprehensive two-day course on first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is designed to meet the needs of individuals who require training for work-related requirements or those who desire a deeper understanding of emergency response in their home environment. This course not only fulfills the legislative requirements set by Ontario’s Workplace Safety & Insurance Board but also incorporates the latest guidelines for first aid and CPR.

  • Responding to Emergencies

  • Recovery Position

  • Circulation Emergencies (Angina, Heart Attack, Stroke, Life-Threatening Bleeding)

  • CPR with AED (for Adult, Children and Infants)

  • Choking (for Adult, Children and Infants)

  • Breathing Emergencies (Asthma, Allergic Reactions, Anaphylaxis, Hyperventilation)

  • Wound Care (Burns, Infections, Chest Injuries, Puncture Wounds and more)

  • Head, Neck and Spinal Injuries (including concussions)

  • Bone, Muscle and Joint Injuries

  • Sudden Medical Emergencies (Fainting, Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures and more)

  • Environmental Illness (Heat Stroke, Hypothermia and more)

  • Poisons (includes discussion of opioid overdose)
